How To Fix Windows Error Message 80070005

  • Navigate to the location where you have set your user accounts in Windows XP.

  • Launch the browser. Place the mouse pointer on the navigation space and access the Windows Defender Microsoft website. Wait for the application to download. This may take a minute or two.
  • Now, double click the installation file and run the installation.
  • Click on the Start orb placed on the bottom left corner of the home screen. From the Start menu, select the label that reads All Programs. From the All Programs list, select the application label Windows Defender.
  • Launch the application window. From the application home page, select the label that reads Tools and then the label Software Explorer.
  • Select the security or anti-virus program that is making the process corrupt. Hit the Disable option to disable the application.
  • Click the name of any program that might be interfering with permissions and then click "Disable."
  • Exit all applications and restart your computer. After your computer has restarted, re-launch the application and see whether the error has been fixed or not.
